Before leading IAFL and managing its humanitarian goals, Marie Thadal had first established a home at Jeen International in 1998 as a sales representative. Jeen International is a privately held manufacturer and supplier of ingredients for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to promoting Jeen’s product line in the industry, Thadal also promoted the plant-based ingredient manufacturer company BotanicalsPlus- which Jeanne Perle later founded. Due to this effort, BotanicalsPlus, a woman-owned certified enterprise, acquired new customer business relationships in no time.
Not only did Thadal manage to kick-start her cosmetic career sales at Jeen International, but it was also during this time that she earned her master’s degree in cosmetic science and eventually launched her own consulting company. The founder and president of Jeen International- Adam Perle- made these endeavors possible. As Thadal recounts now, “Good mentors and sponsors, like the Perles, were hard to find in those days.”
Just as the Perles had assisted Thadal in launching her career in the cosmetic industry, they once again have shown love to another cause dear to Thadal’s heart in 2021-ITIAH Angels for Learning. With intentions to assist the Haitian students in receiving an education, the Perles have decided to sponsor 100 elementary students for the 2021-2022 school year. Since most elementary schools in Haiti are not free as it is in many countries, this humanitarian contribution by the Perles will allow the sponsored students to go to school uninterrupted. https://www.jeen.com/
By showing love to IAFL, Jeanne Perle hopes to raise awareness and motivate other cosmetic industries to support the education of Haitian girls. “Education is a key tool,” she says. “Education yields to career opportunities and can uplift an entire community in a country that needs it the most. That is why we chose to support ITIAH Angels for Learning.” https://botanicalsplus.com/
The team at IAFL is grateful for this donation and looks forward to long-lasting relationships with humanitarian entrepreneurs who look to make positive differences in the lives of Haitian students.
