Itiah Angels for Learning (IAFL) is planning a shoe drive for the students at the Ecole Mere Louise elementary school in Haiti. Many students walk several miles to school. Their long commute is often made more difficult with ill-fitting or worn out shoes. Providing these students with a new pair of shoes will help support their learning by making their journey to school easier.
Since many of these students are still growing, they are in urgent need of shoes that will fit comfortably. Wearing shoes that are too small is painful and can cause serious blisters, especially considering the amount of walking these students must do to go to class. Every child deserves to feel the joy of getting a new pair of shoes. Donating your girls’ shoes will also be doing the environment a favor. Instead of letting your shoes gather dust in your closet or sit in a landfill, they will go towards this good cause.
Our goal is to donate 100 pairs of walking shoes. We are accepting new or gently used girls shoes sizes 5 to 13. They must be black to match the students’ uniforms. To drop off your donations, please email us at info@itiahangels.org or ship to Itiah Angels for Learning
2N Commerce Square Suite 409 Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Please donate and help spread the word about our shoe drive!
