Black History Month celebrations provide a unique and enriching opportunity for our community to come together in appreciation of history, culture, and talent. These events allow us to witness the incredible performances of talented students, immerse ourselves in the rich flavors of Caribbean and African cuisine, and engage with the vibrant energy of dancers, speakers, and award ceremonies. The presence of local vendors further adds to the excitement, making both days truly memorable.
This year, just as the past two years, we are especially grateful to Robbinsville High School and Lawrence High School for their generosity in donating a table to Itiah Angels for Learning, allowing us to share our mission of supporting students in Haiti. Their support not only helps raise awareness but also strengthens the bonds of community and compassion that are at the heart of our work.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Don Estrada and Zanetta Pierce, whose kindness and generosity reflect the true spirit of giving. Their support reminds us that love is about more than words, it is about action, about caring for others, and about lifting up those who are working to make a difference in the world.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. so profoundly said: “You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.”
The 3rd Annual Black History Month Festival took place on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Robbinsville High School located at 155 Robbinsville Edinburg Rd, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Proceeds from the vendor tables will be used to support the Arnette Peterson RHS Black Culture Club Scholarship. The 12th Annual Black History Celebration was held on February 22, 2025 at Lawrence High School located at 2525 Princeton Pike Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. For information about participating as a vendor in 2026, please contact Ms. Zanetta Pierce, Secretary to the Assistant Principals.
