When you bring together five exceptional individuals from the worlds of business, law, academia, philanthropy, and nonprofit leadership, something extraordinary begins to unfold.
What started as a meeting catapulted a movement driven by a shared commitment to educational equity and opportunity. This dynamic group, Magnolia Brown-McGlothen, Pierre Joseph, Robert Baraczeck and Marie Thadal became united around a common purpose: to advance a mission that supports students in Haiti, offering them not just access to education, but the tools, encouragement, and inspiration to thrive.
Each voice in the room brings a unique perspective to the executive board. From strategic insights and policy expertise to fundraising ingenuity and lived experience, these leaders are harnessing their collective power to break barriers and build futures.
This isn’t just about charity. It is rather about collaboration, sustainability, and long-term impact. It’s about recognizing that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Together, they’re helping to bridge that gap. EML Elementary School was founded in the 1800’s to educate the young minds of the poorest neighborhoods including the founder of Itiah Angels for Learning.
At the heart of it all is a deep sense of gratitude. The founder of the initiative expressed heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers ( past and present), whose time, effort, and unwavering dedication continue to move the mission forward.
As this team of changemakers moves ahead, their collective strength is proving that when people come together for a cause greater than themselves, real transformation begins, not only for the students in Haiti, but for every person who chooses to be part of the journey.
In short, when someone volunteers, they don’t just help others, they grow themselves. They walk away with a fuller heart, a broader worldview, and often, a lifelong commitment to service. Supporting a mission isn’t just an act of giving; it’s an act of becoming the individual you were met to be.
