Trenton resident Bill Kearney became the seventh manager of the Trenton Farmers Market in early 2023, and he has been bringing energy and heart to the market ever since.
Bill often goes beyond the role of manager. On many occasions, you might find him walking the hallways interacting with vendors and shoppers alike. Then one Saturday, we found him stationed right in the middle of the market’s four wings, happily serving scoops of fresh watermelon to shoppers. Moments like these show dedication and how much he cares. When a manager takes time to participate in the activities on the floor with the vendors, it brings a whole new energy and joy to the shopping experience.
The Trenton Farmers Market has produce, prepared food, Amish, and craft vendors. But it is more than just a place to shop, it’s a community gathering where generosity flows as freely as the fresh produce. The vendors there are not only talented but also giving, often opening their space to nonprofits like Itiah Angels for Learning and others who set up at the center of the market to share their missions and connect with the community.
But what truly keeps us coming back is our all-time favorite specialty eatery, Tea-For-All. Their Matcha latte is a little cup of heaven, and their scones may just be the most scrumptious you’ll ever taste.
When you visit the market, be sure to stop and meet Debbie, co-founder of Tea-For-All alongside her husband Mike. Since 2011, Tea-For-All has grown from Debbie’s deep love for the culture and rituals of tea into a beloved destination. Both Debbie and Mike are Certified Tea Specialists, accredited by the Specialty Tea Institute, and they pour that expertise into everything they do, from their wide variety of teas and tea products to their engaging Tea Discovery Workshops.
Thanks to Bill and the Trenton Farmers Market, the Trenton community has a vibrant space not just to shop, but to connect, share, and celebrate local flavor.
