If one of your New Year resolutions is to do more good, this is the perfect time to reach out and volunteer with us! Or, refer a friend to get involved with one of our many projects and activities. Volunteering will not only allow you to make a positive impact by supporting young students in Haiti, but also help you build your skills and create meaningful connections. Especially if you are a university or high school student, IAFL is a great place to gain valuable experience and find mentors who are extremely passionate about what they do.
I first found out about IAFL through my friend who volunteered her time working on the website. Since then, I have been writing for the organization’s newsletter for about two years now. My time volunteering at IAFL has been a wonderful experience. Having been a college student when I first began helping to coordinate the newsletter, IAFL has been understanding of my busy schedule. I highly recommend volunteering at this organization, especially if you aspire to go into the healthcare field or pursue a career in public health like I have. Volunteering at IAFL has allowed me to really develop my writing skills, network with professionals in a variety of different fields, and build my resume all while contributing to a cause I am passionate about. I am so grateful to my lovely friend who told me about the volunteer opportunities IAFL has to offer!
