Eight Years of Turning Compassion Into Opportunity. On September 14, Itiah Angels for Learning will celebrate eight years of turning a vision into action and creating educational opportunities for children in Haiti. Our journey began in 2017 with a mission trip to Haiti and a desire to give back. In 2018, our founder returned to locate École Mère Louise (EML), the elementary school that helped shape her own educational journey. On September 14, 2018, Itiah Angels for Learning was officially established.
Our mission is rooted in a simple belief: education creates opportunity and can help break the cycle of poverty. Over the past eight years, our Angels have helped students remain in school by providing $200 annual tuition sponsorships, school supplies, books, clean water, solar panels, fans, music and sewing equipment, and other resources needed to create a better learning environment.
Even when security challenges forced EML to relocate, our commitment did not change. Our volunteers and supporters continued to show up, give, and find ways to help. That is what being an Angel means: turning compassion into action and opportunity.
To everyone who has donated, sponsored a student, volunteered, shared our mission, provided expertise, or simply believed in what we are doing—thank you. You are the reason we can continue this work. Click on this link Give the Gift of Education
